Moose breaks down DraftKings League of Legends LPL-LCK – April 5 – 2:00 AM EST
Teams to Target
When playing a DraftKings League of Legends tournament, it is important to team stack and focus on narrowing down the teams that will provide the best chance of winning. Total score is determined by kills, assists and overall player performance in each LoL game that happens on the rift, but the goal is always to aim and stack winning teams for the easiest chance at taking down cash games and GPP tournaments. We take a closer look at what teams might be able to provide us an edge.
This slate is very straightforward, and we are going to take advantage of some cheaper picks that have stepped up.
T1 $6,000 TEAM
The surefire favorites for tonight are facing a suddenly resurging Damwon team. However, Damwon earned wins off low teams like Afreeca and APK, whereas T1 are made of a different cloth. T1 is going to clean house here, I think at worst 2-1.
Edward Gaming $5,800 TEAM
LPL team? Check. Positive record and not terrible? Check. Facing a 3-7 team? Check. Look for Aodi, Junjia, Scout, Hope and Meiko in lineups. All are great plays here.
JD Gaming $5,600 TEAM
My favorite play of the slate, facing an LNG team that hasn’t won in two weeks. LNG has struggled hard for a while, and this is a great spot for Kanavi and crew to remind them who’s boss. I love Kanavi and Loken in this matchup. JD are also trying out Zoom, which you can stick in lineups at an incredibly cheap price. Not sure if he gets subbed if they lose though.
APK Prince $5,000 TEAM
Coming off a three-win streak and taking down a very good KT team yesterday. APK like to get dirty, and they like to score points. They now get the worst team in the LCK in Griffin. Food is served.
Royal Never Give Up $4,400 TEAM
Took down eStar, can take down any LPL team. They play with efficiency more than with power.
Hanwha Life Esports $4,600 TEAM
The worst team I am going to mention, but they are facing Afreeca. That is going to be one garbage play fiesta of two teams who are doing really poorly. Afreeca hasn’t won since the break; this is the now-or-never spot for them. HLE keep cycling ADC, so I just stick Tempt in captain and look to Haru to have games on Olaf.
Players to Target
Player knowledge is just as important as team knowledge. Knowing where a player can shine in a line is what separates the people who cash GPPs regularly and those who fall off.
Zoom (JDG) $6,000, Canna $6,800 TOP
Going to save at top today.
Kanavi (JDG) $7,600, Flawless (APK) $6,600, Junjia (EDG) $7,200, Leyan ($7,000) JNG
They keep trying to make jungle expensive, and I keep finding the value.
Tempt (HLE) $5,800, Faker (T1) $7,400, Yagao (JDG) $7,800 MID
If you think HLE win, take Tempt. If you want a no-risk option, take Faker.
Hybrid (APK) $7,600, Teddy (T1) $7,800, Loken (JDG) $8,000 ADC
Any APK stacks should have Hybrid in them. Any T1 stacks should look for Teddy.
Secret (APK) $5,400, Effort (T1) $5,600, Meiko (EDG) $5,800 SUP
Lots of value at support today; all are good picks and should perform well.
Sample Cash Lineup (Pick your carries edition)
I’ve set you up with what I believe is going to do well tonight; the rest is up to you for your carries. There is no wrong choice; just look above and pick who you like. You can also fit more JDG players if you take Zoom at top.
Make RNG and HLE stacks.
