Moose breaks down DraftKings League of Legends LPL – March 24, 2020, 04:00 AM EST
Teams to Target
When playing a DraftKings League of Legends tournament, it is important to team stack and focus on narrowing down the teams that will provide the best chance of winning. Total score is determined by kills, assists and overall player performance in each LoL game that happens on the rift, but the goal is always to aim and stack winning teams for the easiest chance at taking down cash games and GPP tournaments. We take a closer look at what teams might be able to provide us an edge:
LNG Esports $5,200 (-140 vs. Suning)
Suning are an up-and-coming team that is looking to capitalize on their latest winning efforts, but they are going to run into problems with what is happening at LNG. This is going to be a solid matchup with most like a 2-1 finish in either direction, but the veteran experience on LNG is why I am picking them here. Not surprised if they are upset, but fully expect them to win due to a difference in the top and bottom lane.
Team WE $5,400 (-210 vs. RW)
After spending essentially all day re-watching WE and Rogue Warrior matches, I do believe that WE is correctly priced on this slate. RW is an improving organization but they need a solid start and most likely can’t keep up with WE’s speed. The WE mid lane, jungle, and AD carry will most likely prove to be too much to handle for RW. I’m not betting WE take it here at the -210 odds, but they should certainly be favored.
Players to Target
Player knowledge is just as important as team knowledge. Knowing where a player can shine in a line is what separates the people who cash GPPs regularly and those who fall off.
Teacherma $7,200 MID
Focus on the hungry players more than the veterans, unless the matchup proves too difficult. Teacherma (what a name) has earned the start tonight is averaging 74.1 points per game. That’s good enough for me to feature him in my WE stacks, especially in the captain spot.
Flandre $6,400 TOP
Flandre has been wreacking havoc on League of Legends for some time now, and he is leading this slate in kills for a reason. Focus on Flandre in LNG stacks if you are looking for someone that is going to give you anywhere between 8-10 kills a game on a good day. My take on his playstyle so far this split is his ability to be able to produce wins through split pushing and solo laning. Guy is literally 1v9 sometimes on the map and still manages to turn it into a game. I’m all in on Flandre if LNG plan on showing up.
Asura $7,800 LNG (if you think Suning win this matchup, huanfeng at $7,200 is a must)
Strictly speaking, it looks like Asura is kind of complacent when it comes to games that LNG are clearly losing. However, when LNG turns the engines on and decides to show up for a win, Asura is a must-have in lineups. Him and Flandre are often the main carries as and Asura is sometimes overlooked because of Maple in the mid lane. The real challenge on the slate is deciding who you want to side with in terms of the 3 carries on LNG, and maybe will look away from Asura.
