Moose breaks down DraftKings League of Legends LPL-LCK 3/31 -2:00 AM EST
Teams to Target
When playing a DraftKings League of Legends tournament, it is important to team stack and focus on narrowing down the teams that will provide the best chance of winning. Total score is determined by kills, assists and overall player performance in each LoL game that happens on the rift, but the goal is always to aim and stack winning teams for the easiest chance at taking down cash games and GPP tournaments. We take a closer look at what teams might be able to provide us an edge.
This slate is going to be fun and there are a lot of really good picks to target. For the cash lineup I played it safe but I recommend not playing it safe for GPPs. We are looking at quite a few potential winning lineups so I recommend playing a risqué single entry GPP or playing risqué cash.
Royal Never Give up $6,200 TEAM
These guys are heavily overpriced but they’re also heavily favored. Great to stack with dogs in GPPs but man is it expensive. I’d recommend LangX, Betty and Xiaohu.
KT Rolster $5,800 TEAM
Great spot for the Rolster to keep rolling against a defeated and aging Griffin team that is looking to replace their garbage in the top and jungle positions. KT is actually fairly priced in this slate and they are looking for what I believe is their 7th win in a row. A complete turnaround from their 0-5 start. Avoid Sohwan again if you can.
DragonX $5,600 TEAM
We’ve ridden Sandbox on their short win streak for far too long, as they now proved to us that they really can’t hold it down against APK prince. Now they’re forced to play DragonX and they can’t figure out which of their mediocre junglers is better. Pyosik, Keria, Deft, Chovy.
eStar $5,400 TEAM
Always strong, always overpriced. eStar and RNG take the cake for “pick a dog and then roll with this heavy favorite” lineups. What is frustrating is that they deliver. They don’t go easy or let up and often force these massive teamfights for fun. They’re facing a disciplined Vici team, who I actually don’t mind in recent form to give them a challenge. That being said, eStar is still the best team in the LPL and they are high powered. Tread with caution due to price.
GEN.G $5,000 TEAM vs T1 $4,800 TEAM
The battle of the titans in the LCK where we can’t really exclude any option. Other than the mystery of who T1 will have jungle, I really think this is going to be one of those games where you really can’t afford to overlook any player. Rascal and Effort have improved. What I think will happen, like last time, is a technical battle less than a killfest, which is why I am fading this 50/50 match in cash. Enjoy the show, I’ll be rooting for T1 of course.
LNG $5,200 TEAM
These guys suck but they’re facing Sinodragon, who really can’t get any worse. Flandre, Maple, Asura, avoid Lwandy he’s coming in fresh.
Players to Target
Player knowledge is just as important as team knowledge. Knowing where a player can shine in a line is what separates the people who cash GPP’s regularly and those who fall off.
Canna (T1) $5,600 TOP and Flandre (LNG) $7,000 TOP
If you are trying to play T1 as a dog with a big favorite, use Canna as a solid third carry. He’s a really talented top laner for his age.
If you noticed, I didn’t mention Flandre above in teams because LNG are a struggling 4-5 and have sucked recently .This is their best chance to do damage, right here on this slate against a 1-win DMO team. Could be great, could be rough.
Bon0 (KT) $6,800 JNG and Pyosik $7,200 JNG
Young, wild, and kind of reckless junglers that are great at initiating teamfights and fit our slate really well. If you need more savings than Bon0, go xX, but I’m spending up for big Pyosik.
Kuro $7,200 MID and Chovy $7,200 MID
Kuro’s best games came from playing Griffin, and Chovy should be able to hold against Dove. I think DRX are going to target the mid laner in this matchup.
Teddy (T1) $7,000 ADC Aiming (KT) 7,800 ADC Deft (DRX) $7,400 ADC
Lots of value and spending abilities on this slate if you want to go heavy or light. If you are playing T1, make sure to include Teddy. I never care about Teddy’s price, he always comes through for us.
Keria (DRX) $6,000 SUP and Lwandy $5,400 (LNG) SUP
No value on this slate at SUP, take talent and maybe take Lwandy hoping he doesn’t get subbed.
Sample Cash Lineup (Pick your Poison Edition)
DRX-KT #1

DRX-KT #2

DRX-KT-A Little Spice

Mix around Kuro, Chovy, Keria, Tusin, Sohwan, Doran.
Mix and match to get the team you want. This slate is really open in the air and it is hard to find good breathing room. Just do what you can with what you have. Also, I hate sohwan and I think he’s honestly useless, but he lets you fit in so much value at Captain and he’s up against a new starter in the top lane.
Have fun!
GPP Tips
RNG will be low owned as people will pick ES at a slightly higher price. I would stack up T1 and GEN stacks and possibly even a DMO stack with some big hitters for a GPP play. Anything is possible in eSports.
